Media Audience
During the Olympic games, media audience is something that became very apparent to me. While watching the games I knew that the ads were specifically created to be shown to a Canadian audience. This made me wonder what other ads the companies had created for other countries around the world. For Canada, support, inclusion and doing the best we can no matter your race, gender or anything for that matter is what we strive for and this was very prominent in the Olympic ads. Something that I thought about a lot throughout this period was what ads for other countries were like, for example countries that do not support women the way Canada does, were they included in the company ads? For counties that do not support LGBT rights, were their athletes promoted through the ads?
